Table Treatments

Sports Massage

Elements of Swedish, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage are brought into a perfectly flowing routine for problem areas. This can be area specific or adapted into a full routine.

The massage involves manipulation of soft tissue (soft tissue includes skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. Fascia is a form of connective tissue).

Sports massage and deep tissue massage help with mobility by increasing range of motion, healing time of current injuries and the breaking up of scar tissue formed by old injuries.

The therapist will build up the pressure throughout the treatment so the body becomes familiar with the touch and pressure.

Revive

Life can be so demanding, if you feel the need to uncoil, this is the treatment for you. This massage can be area specific - legs / upper body or for a longer treatment - a combination of both.

Expect a light, gentle touch, mixed with light to medium pressure, that comes together to soothe and rejuvenate your mind and body. This can also include an Indian head massage on request.

Soft Cupping

Cupping has been universally practiced by healers for centuries in many cultures. Cupping creates a vacuum, which encourages blood flow to the surrounding areas. Ultrasound has revealed that cupping can reach 4” below the skin surface. The effect produced is a negative pressure as opposed to positive pressure.

The cups used are made from food grade silicone (hypoallergenic) they are manipulated around the body using gliding, traction and decompression. Cupping, like massage, improves circulation, helps muscular and skeletal problems, releases deep and old muscle trauma, loosens adhesions, softens scar tissue, helps headaches and migraines, reduces cellulite and provides pain relief.

Cupping can be added onto any of the above treatments or a total body cleanse using a combination of massage strokes and cupping. Please note - the techniques used will leave very minimal/if any marks on the skin unless, they are requested.

Seated Treatments
Ideal For Office Environments (Can be included in table treatments)

Acupressure

Seated Acupressure is a perfect treatment for busy office environments. It is oil free and performed over clothing. The treatment uses pressure over many of the acupressure points by working on the 12 major meridians accessible on the back, arms, hands, neck, head and legs.

This treatment is a hybrid of the ancient Oriental massage arts of Anma and Shiatsu.

This technique helps to stimulate and balance the flow of energy throughout the body.  In turn this stimulates the circulatory, muscular, nervous, immune and lymphatic systems whilst promoting the release of endorphins and important mood-regulating neurotransmitters.

The client is left feeling relaxed yet energised in a clearly focused frame of mind.

Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage combines both ancient techniques from India, alongside Swedish massage techniques.

The treatment uses oil and involves massage and gentle stretching techniques to the head, upper back, shoulders and arms and finishes with a relaxing face massage.
The massage like all treatments is effective for treating stress because it works on the areas of the body where we all carry our stress – the upper back, neck, shoulders and head.
This treatment is more suited to smaller offices wanting longer treatments per client and requires a longer turn around between clients due to the use of oil.
